Martin, WN6E, and I needed a quick activation. We selected this easy drive up. The actual site is on the roof of a very expensive home. Fortunately we had information from prior activators of some alternatives. We went to the hill that is just past the site on the same side of the road. This is 33.480022, -117.185408 which is 39 feet below the actual 2,000 ft (610m) elevation and well within the activation zone.

Propagation was hostile to say the least. I spotted on several bands working there for 20 minutes on each in the hope I could just reach one more Chaser. The Chasers saved us as there were several with big stations who could hear our tiny signal.

We had cell service on both AT&T and T-Mobile which made spotting easy via both SMS and the website.
