Another delightful activation in sunny Southern California. I was at the parking (34.132033, -118.337905) for this just after 6am which is when they lift the restriction. Do NOT try to park any closer as you will be ticketed and/or towed. It is a brief walk up the road for about 0.2 miles to the trail head. I started the excellent work out up the trail with about 800 feet of gain for about 0.7 miles. This is not a technical climb, just steep. Once you are on the ridge line the elevation gain is very mild. At the ridge line I back tracked about 1,000 feet to grab one Geocache, Ben & Jayme For The Love of Caching GC2DD3H which is on a very scenic overlook. From here I headed to the summit for a total of 1.3 miles each way. Along the walk today there were butterfly’s everywhere. The crows were chasing the few hawks I saw. There were plenty of lizards eating up most of the bugs. Plenty of fun contacts had to come to an end as the high temperature became uncomfortable.

Note: There is intermittent T-Mobile service at the summit. I got a phone call and some text messages. I was not able to get out a SPOT readily so I depended no the wonderful support from others.
